Fee Information
MSC Rule 8(a)(3)(7) and FFS Rule 8(a)(9) provides for fees to be assessed for mediator applications for certification and annual renewal of certifications. Fees provide not only for administration of the certification process, but also cover the costs of operating the Commission and its office.
Every application for certification shall include the application for certification fee and the prorated annual certification fee. Each year after certification, the mediator shall be assessed an annual renewal certification fee to maintain their active status as a DRC certified mediator.
Application for Certification Fees:
- The application for certification fee to become a certified superior court mediator (MSC) or family financial mediator (FFS) is $200.00.
- The application for certification fee to become a dually certified mediator (certified in both MSC and FFS) is $400.00.
Annual Renewal Certification Fees:
The annual renewal certification fee is prorated quarterly for the first year (see the DRC Fee Schedule). Each year following certification, the annual renewal certification fees are:
- $200 for a single certification (MSC or FFS).
- $400 for dual certifications (MSC and FFS).
