Mecklenburg County Chief District Court Judge Elizabeth Trosch entered an Administrative Order expanding court operations effective Monday.

Governor Roy Cooper has announced the following judicial appointments.

Buncombe County Superior Court Judge Marvin Pope retired February 1 after a 48-year legal career.

Governor Roy Cooper has appointed William “Bill” Wolfe to serve as a superior court judge in Judicial District 7C (Edgecombe and Wilson).

The superior court criminal session (including probation hearings on December 15) will continue to operate during this time.

The Supreme Court has amended rules affecting transcripts in the Rules of Appellate Procedure, and three rule sets affecting mediation.

All sessions of district court will take place as scheduled.
