Tom Murry Appointed to N.C. General Statutes Commission

Tom Murry, chief legal counsel for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) Governmental Affairs, has been appointed by Governor Pat McCrory to the N.C. General Statutes Commission.
The commission "studies state laws to determine the need for statutory changes with a special focus on Uniform and Model Acts recommended by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Law Institute." It recommends proposed changes to the General Assembly.
Murry joined the NCAOC in 2015, and previously served two terms in the N.C. House of Representatives representing the 41st district in Wake County. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Arkansas College of Pharmacy and his Juris Doctor (JD) from Campbell University School of Law. Tom also serves as first lieutenant in the N.C. National Guard as a judge advocate general.
