Article contents
In response to the national state of emergency now in place regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), North Carolina’s Judicial Branch has activated its public health emergency policy. The Clerk of Superior Court’s Office will reduce its hours of operation and staff availability, effective Friday, March 20, 2020.
The Clerk of Superior Court counters in the Wake County Justice Center and the Wake County Courthouse are being staffed from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
File drop boxes are located on the 1st floor of the Wake County Courthouse for all matters that would ordinarily be filed at the Clerk's counter in that building (Estates, Special Proceedings, and Civil filings). Completed documents may be filed in the drop box, and those received prior to 5:00 p.m. will be clocked in on the date received. Documents received after 5:00 p.m. will be clocked in on the next business day.
Please use every effort to minimize in-person contact with courthouse personnel.
For general questions, you may contact the Clerk’s Office directly. For questions specific to Wake County courts' response to the circumstances created by COVID-19, you may email [email protected] or visit the NCcourts.gov website.
