Onslow County Court Officials Designate Alternate Court Locations Through End of 2018

Due to the loss of regular court facilities from Hurricane Florence, alternate sites for holding courts are listed through the end of 2018.

Onslow County Courthouse

Due to the loss of use of Onslow County's regular court facilities due to Hurricane Florence, alternate sites for holding our courts are listed below through the end of 2018. This is based on current information and is subject to change.

CRIMINAL SUPERIOR: Will be on the 2nd floor of the Old Courthouse. 

CIVIL SUPERIOR: Will be held in conjunction with sessions of Criminal Superior on the 2nd floor of the Old Courthouse. More information will be provided. Please monitor the calendars on NCcourts.gov.

GRAND JURY: 2nd floor of the Old Courthouse in the Jury Room

  • Nov. 13

CRIMINAL DISTRICT: For the majority of the next 3 months, this court will be held at the Onslow County Complex at Burton Park, 234 Northwest Corridor, Jacksonville, NC 28540.

  • Oct. 15-18 – Burton Park (no Fri.)
  • Oct. 22-26 – Burton Park
  • Oct. 29-Nov 2 – Burton Park
  • Nov. 5-9 – Burton Park
  • Nov. 13-15 – Burton Park (no Fri.) 
  • Nov. 19-21 – Burton Park (no Thurs./Fri.)
  • Nov. 26-30 – Burton Park
  • Dec. 3-7 – Onslow Co. Consolidated Services (612 College St. Jacksonville, NC 28540)
  • Dec. 10-14 – Burton Park (Dec. 12 Court is canceled. No Criminal Court on that day.)
  • Dec. 17-18 – Onslow Co. Consolidated Services (612 College St. Jacksonville, NC 28540)
  • Dec. 19-20 - Onslow County Superior Court 2nd floor [UPDATED]
  • Dec. 24-28 – No Court

ADD-ON cases: The Clerks will need a calendar request in writing filed before 4:30 p.m., 2 business days in advance of the requested court date to arrange for a file to be moved to the remote court site.

DWI COURT: The session scheduled for November 5 is canceled.

DISTRICT CIVIL: There will be several locations for Domestic and Civil Non Jury:

  • Oct. 15-19 – Domestic 2 week session – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Oct. 15-19 – Special Domestic Session – Onslow Co. Consolidated Human Services
  • Oct. 22-26 – Domestic 2nd week – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Oct. 29-Nov 2 – Civil Jury – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Nov. 12-16 – Civil Non Jury – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Dec. 3/7 – Domestic – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Dec. 10-14 – Special Domestic Session – Jacksonville City Hall
  • Dec. 17-21 – Civil Non Jury – Jacksonville City Hall

DOMESTIC SPLIT WEEK: All sessions of Domestic Violence, Short Matters, Juvenile, and Child Support will be held at the Jacksonville Public Safety Building, 200 Marine Blvd., Jacksonville, NC 28540.

DSS COURT: Will be held in Consolidated Human Services, 612 College St., Jacksonville, NC 28540.

  • Nov. 5-9 – Onslow Co. Consolidated Human Services
  • Dec. 10-14 – Onslow Co. Consolidated Human Services

SMALL CLAIMS COURT: Will be held on the 2nd floor of the Onslow County Sheriff Department, 717 Court St., Jacksonville, NC 28540. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

UNCONTESTED DIVORCE: Will be held at several different locations.
