NCCALJ Co-chair Dean David F. Levi Elected as ALI President Designate

NCCALJ Co-chair Dean David F. Levi has been elected as 10th president of The American Law Institute, effective May 24, 2017. His election came by unanimous vote by the Council of The American Law Institute on January 21.
The President is a volunteer officer of the Institute who chairs the Executive Committee of the ALI Council and sets the direction for the Institute. He will immediately begin serving as President Designate.
"Dean Levi is committed to strengthening and advancing the rule of law. He exemplifies and embodies excellence in all aspects of his work and service, making him a distinguished and distinctive leader in our national legal community," said Chief Justice Mark Martin. "I am not surprised that he was nominated to the office of president of The American Law Institute and that his election to that office was unanimous."
