Governor Pat McCrory has appointed Craig Collins as district court judge in Judicial District 27A (Gaston County).

Collins will fill the vacancy created by the passing of Chief District Court Judge Ralph Gingles Jr. Collins previously served in the district attorney's office for nine years.
