Chief Justice Beasley to Visit Randolph County

Chief Justice Cheri Beasley will spend the day on September 3 in Randolph County visiting with students, court officials, and faith leaders. Her schedule for the day includes the following:
10:00 a.m. - In an address to students, faculty, and the public at Randolph Community College, Chief Justice Beasley will provide an update on the status of the North Carolina court system and her vision for the Judicial Branch.

11:00 a.m. - The Chief Justice will tour the Randolph County Courthouse and visit with judicial officials and staff.

3:00 p.m. - The Chief Justice will join faith leaders and elected officials at First United Methodist Church for a Faith and Justice Roundtable to discuss the intersection of the faith community and the court system in the lives of people impacted by the criminal justice system.

Members of the media are invited to attend any of these three events with an interview opportunity from 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at the Randolph County Courthouse.
Chief Justice Beasley's visit to Randolph County is in advance of the Supreme Court holding travel sessions as part of its bicentennial anniversary in Rowan, Randolph and Forsyth Counties on September 30 - October 2.
