Governor Cooper Appoints Two Judges

Governor Roy Cooper has announced two judicial appointments:
Sally Kirby Turner to serve as a superior court judge in Judicial District 27B (Cleveland and Lincoln counties). She will fill the vacancy from the retirement of Judge Forrest Donald Bridges. Turner currently serves as an assistant district attorney in Cleveland and Lincoln counties. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law.
J. Alex Pully to serve as district court judge in Judicial District 3B (Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico counties). He will fill the vacancy of Judge Bob Cherry, who was elected as superior court judge. Pully currently serves as an assistant district attorney in Prosecutorial District 4 and previously served in District 10. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law.
