Citizens of Waynesville and Cherokee will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the N.C. Court of Appeals with special sessions on May 24 and 25. This is a unique opportunity for citizens and members of the legal community to celebrate while seeing the court in action.

WHAT
The public is invited to attend as a three-judge panel of the Court of Appeals hears two cases. The events will celebrate the court's milestone anniversary and bring awareness to the community about the role of the courts in North Carolina.

The Court of Appeals is the state's intermediate appellate court that decides questions of law in cases appealed from superior and district courts, and from certain administrative agencies of the executive branch.
