Chief Justice Martin Appoints Judge Brenda Branch to Chief District Court Judge for new Judicial District 6
Chief Justice Mark Martin has appointed Judge Brenda Branch as chief district court judge for the new Judicial District 6.

Chief Justice Mark Martin has appointed Judge Brenda Branch as chief district court judge for the new Judicial District 6 (Bertie, Halifax, Hertford, and Northampton), effective January 1, 2015. Judge Branch is currently the chief district court judge for Judicial District 6A (Halifax).
The new District 6 includes Bertie, Halifax, Hertford, and Northampton counties.
Judge Branch has served District 6A as a district court judge since being appointed in 2007 and as chief district court judge since 2008. She was an assistant district attorney from 2001 to 2007, and graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2001.
