Chief Judge Linda McGee Receives Outstanding Appellate Judge Award

The Court of Appeals is pleased to announce that Chief Judge Linda McGee has been presented with the Outstanding Appellate Judge award by the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ).
The NCAJ reported that it appreciates Chief Judge McGee's efforts in "advancing the legal profession in North Carolina." A graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (BA 1971, JD 1973), Chief Judge McGee joined the Court of Appeals in 1995 after practicing law for 17 years with the firm di Santi, Watson & McGee in Boone, North Carolina.
Chief Judge McGee is extremely active in various professional organizations, boards, and commissions, as well as many community activities. A native of McDowell County, Chief Judge McGee is married to Gary McGee and they have two adult children.
Additionally, Cumberland County Superior Court Judge Mary Ann Tally received the Outstanding Trial Judge award.
